Yalumba is a restaurant strategically located inside the Le Meridien Dubai Hotel near the airport. It features modern eclectic cuisine with a unique blend of flavours from the East and West. The restaurant, famous for its themed bubbly Friday brunch also offers a lavish breakfast and lunch buffet with à la carte options.
Last night, they relaunched the restaurant as it underwent a massive renovation. As you enter, you will be welcomed by their friendly staff and will be guided to your table. The all new revamped look and design was very evident and even the scent of the whole place was refreshing. I like the new look with the chandeliers and the colorful but mostly brownish hues of the interiors and chairs.
They definitely went all out with the reopening as the food that they have prepared were unbelievably massive. I suppose they wanted to make a statement and serve everything from starters to pork to beef dumplings to cheeses and crepes and cakes and the list just goes on and on.
As if there was a possibility of people running out of food, the waiters were also roaming around offering different kinds of appetizers and cold selections.
If you find the place to be frigid, you can always go outside and try dining al fresco. There are also live cooking stations beside the pool where you can have all the healthy grilled stuff like chicken, prawn, beef and other types of skewers.
They also had the entertainment covered and the place was very lively since we arrived until we left. They have a brass band playing acoustic songs and in between breaks, there is a DJ spinning dance hits. The place was packed and everyone were chatting and catching up but I must say I really liked the vibe and the overall ambiance of the place.
The service was also good because just imagining that you have an enormous room full of people and yet what you asked for was given quickly says something a lot about the good customer service. I thought that when I asked for something, I would wait for ages but no, they were quick and snappy and did it all with a smile.
To sum up, the relaunch was without a doubt a huge success. The upcoming brunch on Saturday is already fully booked so you better make a booking soon if you want to experience the delightful atmosphere and mouthwatering goodness that is Yalumba. I definitely enjoyed every minute of last night and it’s great to see some nice people at the same place having a good time and living it up.
