Crescendo offers the delights of international cuisine within a dazzling setting. Set by the sapphire waters of the infinity pool, the spacious outdoor terrace affords fabulous views of the coast, complemented by the succulent delicacies prepared at the live cooking stations.
I had a chance to experience a Friday feast that’s fine-tuned to tantalise my tastebuds at Anantara’s Crescendo restaurant earlier today. The Fork & Cork brunch wants diners to embark on a culinary journey that takes Friday brunch to another level.
Crescendo is a restaurant located right in the middle of the hotel, beside the pool and if on the terrace, overlooking the beach which is definitely a beautiful sight to gaze at while nibbling on the mouthwatering and exquisite dishes on offer. The place is massive with the indoor seating probably able to seat more or less 200 people at once and the outdoor seating probably around a hundred. It’s huge and it’s like everybody’s food playground.
I don’t even know where to start with the food. I believe they have covered everything from the salads to starters to paella to dimsums to beef and chicken to the sweets and desserts down to the alcohol and fresh juices. Trust me, they have everything in here. I have been to a lot of brunches in the country and it just keeps on getting better and better. I think the hotels are just bringing out their big guns and out to get every diner’s attention.
They also have a theme and the food are sorted per country or continent so it’s easier to find what you’re looking for. I like that they offer a variety of drinks and I was thrilled to see the fresh coconuts which reminded me of what I used to have in my home country.
Entertainment is also provided by a live band outside the restaurant with speakers installed inside as well. Additionally, a small play area has been provided for the kids who obviously wants to pass the time by playing with other children.
The service of the staff and the chefs have been top notch too. The waiters were attentive and were there to assist with all the requests of the diners be it the wifi password, condiments, spoon and fork, drinks or even to take a picture for them. I was delighted when one waitress immediately offered to pour the water for me just as I was about to grab the bottle. They were so mindful, I can’t express my gratitude enough.
To sum up, the Fork & Cork brunch can be added to my favorite brunches so far. Just for the substantial amount of food and the extensive array of choices matched with superior customer service, the brunch definitely hits the spot. I have no complaints whatsoever, they did everything correctly. They had a system just before you enter and it the whole dining experience was faultless until we left. For these reasons, I would definitely urge everyone to try the brunch at least once. The offerings were perfect and will unquestionably leave a good taste in your mouth.
The Fork & Cork brunch is scheduled every Friday from 1:00pm to 4:00pm. The dress code is smart casual and prices start from AED345 per person.
