Feast, Sheraton Grand Dubai

Feast (noun) a special meal with very good food or a large meal for many people.

That is exactly what took place last night as some of Dubai’s bloggers converged at the Feast Restaurant for the festive menu tasting organized by DinewithSally.

Feast is just one of the many restaurants inside the posh new hotel, Sheraton Grand Dubai located in Sheikh Zayed Road. The open kitchen features delicious international cuisine from the Western, Middle Eastern, Indian, Chinese and South East Asian world. You also have the opportunity to talk to the chefs and ask about the cuisines if you’re interested to know more about them.

First of all, the place was massive. I’ve never been to the restaurant before and I was pleasantly surprised to see the capacious space and the abundant food the chefs from all over the world have prepared for hotel guests and diners.

The food spread was amazing and intricately designed to complement the theme of the whole restaurant. It looked like you’re visiting a different country as you roam around the restaurant and check out the different food stations. I also found the place to be spotless and there’s a room with mirrors on the ceiling that just showed how immaculate and elegant the place is.

So back to the topic. We were here for the festive menu tasting and so bloggers were invited to try them out. There was a long list of dishes that will be served for everyone to have a taste and give our own feedback. To be perfectly honest, I liked every single one of them from the salads to the starters to the main courses to the turkey up to the desserts.

The pacing of the food was perfect making sure we had enough time to sample each and every dish. The service and the friendliness of the staff added to our satisfaction too. It’s almost perfect with the accommodating chefs and waiters making sure all the diners were happy and pleased.

I genuinely think this just might be the perfect place to host a Christmas party or your festive Christmas brunch or dinner. I’m not saying this because we were invited but because the restaurant is just spacious enough to host a huge crowd and the setting and the terrace is just splendid with the view of Sheikh Zayed road.

To sum up, me and the rest of the bloggers were completely appeased last night with the food, the service, the ambiance and the overall treatment by the staff and the chefs at Feast restaurant. It’s considerably new and I believe it won’t be long until foodies discover it and try for themselves. Feast is a fitting name for the restaurant because that is what it’s all about. You will definitely have a feast and be delighted and eat sumptuously. If you have never been here, I highly recommend you go and check it out and just enjoy and have a ball.

  1. Sounds divine… a slight concern with “organized events” when a venue is “promoting” (almost) their offering is it will definitely be WAAAAYY better than the normal. It will be interesting to go back on a normal day and see how they fare, especially when they don’t know they are being reviewed by a food blogger. 🙂
