Bayty is an all-day dining restaurant at the third floor of the Warwick Hotel in Sheikh Zayed Road.
It serves authentic Arabic and International cuisine buffet-style for breakfast, lunch and dinner. They also have special theme night dinner buffets featuring live cooking stations and several other options.
We came to visit the restaurant on a Friday when they were having the Seafood Night. It starts at 7pm but we came just a bit earlier before everyone else so I was able to take this picture. The place soon filled up leaving no space for walk-in guests.
Looking at the interior, it was pretty good what they have done with the lighting and the couches and chairs were utterly comfortable. The space though was a bit too tight between the other tables leaving just a teeny weeny space to go in and out. I felt like they tried to squeeze in as many chairs and tables as possible to accommodate all the diners.
When it comes to the food, it was good but was a bit inconsistent as some tasted great and some were bland. On a scale of 1-5, I’d rate it a 3.5 because there are some items that I really liked.
I was just taken aback by some of the guests’ demeanor as they were rushing to take food like they won’t get any and I feel like with the volume of diners during that night, the chefs just are not able to keep up.
When it comes to the service, each one of the staff has to be commended as they were able to maintain their cool despite the fact that there were a lot of children running around and they have to give in to the requests of some demanding guests.
Also, I think one point where they can improve is the music. They were playing rock/alternative songs in the background which definitely just added to the noise that the children were making. Just a suggestion since the restaurant is inside a hotel, maybe they can play some nice chilled out jazz music and so it can complement the theme of the restaurant and possibly calm the people down.
To sum up, despite of the noise by the kids and the coarse attitude of some of the guests, we still had a great time at Bayty. I’m rating the restaurant based on the food and the welcoming staff and the overall dining experience. They have some quality food that will keep guests coming back for more and the points that I have mentioned can easily be improved.
The Seafood night at Bayty is priced at AED165++ only and if you have the Entertainer app, you can easily avail of the 2 for 1 deal on the buffet so it is without question a great value for your money.
