“Eat breakfast like a king, lunch like a prince, and dinner like a pauper.”
That is exactly what I did one morning when I finally visited Clinton St. Dubai’s newest branch in Citywalk. It’s one of the breakfast places that I really really wanted to try because I’ve heard a lot of good things about it.
Actually, they are not just a breakfast place but I feel like their best offerings are the ones for breakfast so there’s no better time to visit but in the morning. When we arrived, we saw that it was pretty busy. They have an outdoor seating but we opted to sit inside as we assumed it will be too hot around lunchtime.
As we entered, we found the location to be comfortable and unpretentious. The indoor dining area was perfect, spacious and airy and would make for some good pictures.
It also smelled like freshly baked blueberry muffins and fresh ground coffee and there’s this New York vibe that you can feel the second you walk in.
We were greeted by the manager who helped us with his recommendations on what to order based on what we wanted to have in the morning.
I’m a pancake freak so we ordered their bestseller together with the avocado toast, raspberry waffle, granola and the ribs benedict. I also ordered the chicken with waffles as I thought there were a lot of sweet things and less of the savory ones.
As you may have noticed, I like to eat sweet and savory food at the same time. Some people are weirded out by that fact but I just don’t like the taste of the same thing all the time, I need variation. Anyway, needless to say, everything that we ordered was really good especially the eggs benedict which was really tasty.

One more thing that I liked was the service because the waiters were just attentive and we didn’t have to ask for extra utensils and they knew just when to change the plates. Most of the time, I feel like the waiters are becoming intrusive and they want to change plate even if I’m not yet finished eating.
The prices I think are a bit steep but then again I felt like they are somehow worth it. I’m hoping they can bring down the prices a bit though as I would really like to go back to the place and have breakfast whenever I can without breaking the bank. Good thing they are partnered with The Entertainer so you at least get 2for1 deals on the main items.
To sum up, I loved the Clinton St. dining experience. There was nothing from what we ordered that I did not like and I will highly recommend this to all my friends. It’s a great spot complemented with excellent service and of course, heavenly and mouthwatering food, which I believe is the perfect formula for a wonderful meal.
