The Coffee Club is a popular venue for coffee lovers, of course, but little did I know that it is actually an all-day dining venue and a perfect place to catch up with friends and family. We have been regular customers of the restaurant but tonight, we decided to literally have dinner and try their food offerings.
When we arrived, it was very busy and the place was just buzzing. I believe the Coffee Club is increasingly becoming a local favorite not just for coffee lovers but for foodies too. I couldn’t take a picture of the interiors as I know that it’s not appropriate to take pictures of people without their consent. I had to wait till they all left before I was able to take this shot. I love how they revamped the look to a more minimalist one concentrating on just the essentials.
We sat outside and the very accommodating and knowledgeable Sam, our server for the night guided us through the new menu and suggested what to order.
We started with some drinks before ordering anything else. I ordered the chocolate brownie and Passionate Frappe and I’m not sure why it’s called ‘Inspirational Frappés’ but they tasted quite amazing.
We then ordered their appetizers that I never knew they have because I was thinking they only have coffee and pastries.
We tried the new items on the menu starting with the BBQ Chicken wings, Tomato Arancini or the stuffed rice balls flavored with parmesan cheese and tomato and a side of mayo and the mac and cheese croquettes.
To be honest, they were nothing short of amazing and considering the presentation and the taste, one wouldn’t believe that it’s really affordable. Each item was less than AED30 only and I believe it’s worth every penny (or dirham).
For the mains, we ordered the Salmon Nicoise Pesto, Spaghetti with Prawns, Salad and Lasagna.
I really loved all the items that we have tried and I believe they have carefully curated their food selection with a new menu that has definitely something for everyone. They have covered breakfast, lunch and dinner and everything in between.
Guests can choose from the all-day breakfast menu and to end a meal, there’s also a range of cake and smoothies and the hard part for me was choosing which one to try.
I was already full by this time so I only tried the Raspberry loaded shake. I liked it and it tasted just like how I wanted it to taste.
All in all, The Coffee Club pleasantly surprised me with the new items on the menu and the classics that I haven’t tried before. I love the revamped look and the courteous staff and most especially the affordable prices. They hit the right button by introducing sweet and savory treats and I will come back for sure and probably try the newly launched brunch menu.
