If there was ever a competition for the best theme design of a bar/restaurant, I believe that Barasti would win it hands down.
If you have been to the Barasti tent before, you would know exactly what I’m talking about. The Lost World of Barasti clearly transformed the tent into the coolest jungle in the city and did a great job at that. The Lost World of Barasti is hosting the ‘Wild Thing’ brunch every Saturday throughout summer and it includes free-flowing house beverages on top of the unlimited food selection.
As soon as you enter the place, you will already have this feeling that you’re entering the forest but with a fusion of the modernized surroundings.
I really like what they did with the design and the appearance of our friendly zoo celebrities and I can’t stop myself from taking pictures.
There’s an extensive food selection presented in food trucks that are distributed all over the place and the drinks can be ordered either from the bar or from the waiters.
The spread included sliders, hot dogs, fish & chips, salads, curry and a lot of deep fried finger food. There was also a food truck especially for desserts but there’s not a lot of choices, to be honest.
Entertainment is sorted as there’s a live band playing old and new tunes in the center stage and there are still the giant screens showing live matches.
Roaming around, I noticed that most of the guests are groups of friends enjoying the Saturday afternoon. I believe it is really best to try this brunch with a group as it’s just more fun considering the massive place and the entertainment provided.
To sum it up, I think the AED250 price is well worth it for a brunch as enjoyable as this. For me, it’s an ideal way to end the weekend in air-conditioned comfort with the lively atmosphere all around. It’s not really meant for the discerning foodies but more for the fun crowd who are after having a great time with their friends while drinking and munching on some good ol’ comfort food.
