Turquoise is the all-day dining restaurant inside the recently opened Rixos Premium at JBR. They offer authentic Turkish and International cuisine with a buffet concept in a comfortable intimate setting perfect for just anyone and everyone.
So the hotel has been operational for about a month and a half now and there’s a lot of new restaurants that are soon to open but for today, we decided to check out their all-day dining restaurant, Turquoise.
To be very honest, I didn’t really expect that much from the restaurant because it being an all-day dining one means it’s not fancy and there’s nothing special but I have never been so wrong in my life.
We took a short tour of the hotel before proceeding to the restaurant and to my surprise, it looked really nice and homey and so elegant. The place was massive and I can imagine it being able to accommodate about 200 or more people at once.
The dining area is divided into two sections with the main one close to the buffet stretch and the other one on a slightly higher level close to the bar and the smoking area.
If you opt to sit near the windows by the beach, you will be treated to a spectacular view of the almost complete, Dubai eye and if you happen to dine in the afternoon, be prepared to be amazed by the unbelievable sight of the sunset. Either way, the location is very nice and unlike other all-day dining restaurants, Turquoise actually has an ambiance and a character to it that I really like.
Now moving on to the food, I must say that I was impressed by the selection that they have put together. The buffet spread is super clean and I’m sure they went on a long process of carefully curating the dishes that they will include.
Check out the pictures below and see for yourself how aesthetically pleasing their offerings are and you can take my word for it that they tasted really good as well.
They have the salad bar with loads of fruits and vegetables and full of healthy options.
They also have the Arabic staples and you can have pretty much anything that you want to be cooked for you as they have a live cooking station.
Of course, since it’s a Turkish restaurant, after all, they have the best of what Turkey has to offer.
If you’re a cheese lover then you won’t feel left out as they have covered that area too.
They threw a little bit of Japanese in there as well with the inclusion of these mouthwatering sushis.
And just when we thought we have tried all the sushi there is to try, the chef surprised us by preparing something special which is the Shawarma sushi. I’m sure you haven’t heard of it before and this is a must-try and I want to come back just for this. It truly was a unique and one of a kind creation by the chef.
And then they have the whole table for just the desserts and honestly, these were some of the best-tasting desserts I have ever had.
To finally end my meal, I tried the teppanyaki ice cream prepared right before us and it was a show in itself. These were so good, I think I ordered three and then even tried some of the regular ice cream.
To sum up, Turquoise restaurant is definitely something unique and brings something different to the table, literally.
For an all-day dining restaurant, it exceeded all my expectations and now has changed my perceptions of such. I’m predicting this restaurant will soon be popular in all the right ways and with a location inside one of the most anticipated hotel openings in Dubai, you can never go wrong with Turquoise.
