View is an outdoor terrace located at the Dusit Thani Hotel in Dubai. It is nestled in between Downtown skyscrapers and serves food from the award-winning menu of Jones The Grocer.
What sets it apart from all the other lounges in Dubai is that View is actually all about the view that you will get to see when you visit the place.
It is designed for comfort and for lounging around for hours enjoying great food, shisha, and excellent service. It’s actually just a bonus that the food is great because the reason I went here was to relax after a long day at work.
So we came to visit on a Monday night and surprisingly, it was quite busy. We sat in one of the couches and started ordering food. Their food is from Jones the Grocer and to be very honest, I didn’t expect much because I have never been here before.
We ordered a charcuterie platter and aubergine salad to start. They were good and the salad was fresh so we’re off to a good start. They didn’t have a lot of appetizers so we proceeded with the mains.
We tried the grilled salmon to be on the safe side and it was really really nice. The crispiness was just right and the whole thing was flavorful.
We also had the grilled spatchcock baby chicken and the ribeye steak. These were already good but I think they can still do something with the tenderness and probably a bit more flavor.
We also had the garlic and chili linguine with prawns and although it tasted great as well, what I like the most was the mac and cheese with lobster tail. As a pasta lover, this was probably the highlight of my meal that night and I can’t wait to go back to have it again.
So all throughout the night, we had some amazing dishes and absolutely excellent service care of Michael. He was very attentive and was always there to assist without being annoying. I saw some regulars too greeting him by his first name so I’m sure he has been consistently good.
A few hours and a couple of drinks later, we finished our meal with this dessert sampler consisting of smaller pieces of cheesecakes, eclair, and macarons. They were toothsome and was the perfect way to end a nice dinner.
Overall, I really liked the relaxed dining experience at View. This place is perfect for when you want to do nothing but chill after a hard day’s work and if you want to indulge in good food while basking in the mesmerizing views of the city’s landmark.
