Blaze Burgers is the newest burger joint to open in JBR. It’s conveniently located along the Walk and it will be hard to miss as they are beside one of the Starbucks shops in the area.
Before visiting, I had high hopes for this one because I’ve heard so much about it and almost every post on social media contains either a picture of the burger, fries, shakes or of the graffiti on the wall.
When I entered, I immediately saw the industrial design and I like what they did with the space that they have. It’s very minimalist but is still cozy. They also have an outdoor dining area just in case you’re wondering.
The menu is pretty straightforward as well. You can create your own burger by choosing the bun, the meat, and the toppings. It’s kind of a self-service restaurant but you can pretty much ask the wait staff if you need anything. After placing your order, you can shop for your condiments in the dedicated area and I think it’s a nice touch.
So since it’s my first time and I didn’t want to mess my order, I just selected one of the default burgers on the menu. I tried the Extra Love Burger which is Double-decker old-school burger with the choice of 2 toppings and it’s certified Angus Beef that weighs around 200 grams.
I also tried the 6abooga burger also known as the brick burger. It’s basically two grilled cheese sandwiches with again, certified Angus beef in between and was oozing with cheese.
When they were served and I tried both, I honestly was really impressed by the quality of the bun and the taste of the meat. The price range of a burger is around 45-70AED and I believe it’s so worth it. You can settle for lesser priced burger somewhere but this one is definitely a value for money one.
My friend was feeling a bit healthy so he ordered a burger wrapped in lettuce. He said it’s good and with less guilty feeling afterward.
We also tried the fries and they have about 4 variations of it and they were simply good.
They also have milkshakes and desserts but when we came, the machine was broken so we weren’t able to try the ones with ice cream. I liked the shakes though but I really want to come back for the desserts.
So to sum up, I did enjoy our Blaze Burgers experience and I’m so glad that it lived to the hype on social media. It’s so rare to see great looking food on Instagram that looked and tasted great in real life as well. I’m definitely coming back to this place when I crave for loaded burgers and fries. More than a comfort food, their burgers will satisfy every craving there is. It’s so good, it’s blazing.
