Bistro des Arts is a quintessential 1970 Parisian bistro overlooking the waters of Dubai Marina, serving a repertoire of classic “Terroir” French home-style food with a rustic French décor and a garden vibe terrace.
It’s a bit hidden and the signages are not that prominent so the easiest way to see and go to the restaurant is to walk around the promenade or you may also come from the Dubai Marina Mall specifically at the door near Gourmet Burger Kitchen.
We came here around 11 am to try the breakfast/brunch offering every Friday and Saturday and as we entered the place, we saw that it was almost full and we had to wait for a bit to be seated.
The interiors are very in line with the theme and the chairs outside and the spacing will give you a feeling that you’re in Paris. I’ve noticed that most people come here and stay for hours to socialize while enjoying the food.
Anyway, we came because we wanted to try their brunch offering called Brunch A La Marina which is affordably priced at only AED99. That includes unlimited servings of treats at the social table (fresh fruits, pastries, cereals, and juices), a hot drink, a main course and a crepe of your choice.
I’ve heard some feedback that the food is not that good here but to be honest, I liked it. I mean it’s not the greatest, mind-blowing kind but I believe it’s definitely more than average and a great value for your money.
One suggestion though is for them to take it easy on the avocado in the avo eggs benedict. There was too much of it in one serving which is not necessary. The pastries and pancakes were great though and are a must-order when you visit.
The service is good as well with the wait staff being courteous and accommodating and they checked up on us from time to time.
Overall, it was a nice brunch at Bistro Des Arts and for AED99, it was well worth it. I would just recommend that you book in advance to avoid waiting as it gets really full especially on the weekends. Good food + good view? This is how you should spend your days off.
