St. Regis Polo Brunch

The St. Regis Polo Brunch is the new and improved brunch at the popular luxury hotel chain St. Regis, Al Habtoor Polo Resort & Club. If you are not aware, this is the newest, massive property located near Emirates Road and Dubailand.

Contrary to the notion that it is far from the city, it is actually only a 20-minute drive if you’re in Downtown and about 30 minutes if you’re coming from the Marina area. It’s very easy to find and you won’t get lost.

They do the brunch on Fridays and this particular day when we visited, they have just launched the McLaren cup which means we get to see a match as well.

Prior to the brunch, we had a mini tour of the stables and it was so nice to see and interact with the horses. We saw how clean the facilities are and how spacious the whole area is. If you’re wondering if you can also see the horses when you visit, the answer is yes, you can and all you have to do is ask for assistance from the concierge and they will be glad to assist you with the tour.

When we came back to the restaurant, it was almost full and it felt like we were in a different country altogether. You don’t see the skyscrapers, it’s peaceful and relaxing and all you see is the green grass and the horses galloping their way to the field. I was so grateful to see this because honestly, this is something that we don’t get to see every day.

Then it was time for brunch and we went to the table allocated to us. As soon as we sat, we were asked if we wanted some water and they offered drinks as well. We ordered an aperitif and some wine to start.

To set the mood, a live band was there to entertain the guests with soothing lounge music. It was so perfect with the backdrop and I can’t think of anything to be improved.

When it comes to the food, I have to say that this is exactly what I came here for. The St. Regis Polo Brunch includes a Spanish influenced cuisine, Argentinian grills, and any other element was just an added bonus. The food was beyond amazing. The selection is more than enough but not overwhelming as well. I believe they planned the menu so well that you can actually try everything without feeling as full as when you go to other brunches.

Some of the standouts from the spread were the steaks, seafood, the lasagna and the crowd favorite paella. I have never seen a pan as big as what they have here but the most impressive thing is that they were able to cook the paella in a manner or way that could not be better.

They have live cooking stations as well so you get to choose your favorite meat or seafood and you can have it grilled just the way you want to. I honestly cannot think of anything better to top the dining experience here.

The service is impeccable too, with the wait staff being so attentive that we didn’t really need to do anything but enjoy the whole brunch experience.

Overall, I would definitely highly recommend that you try the Polo Brunch at St. Regis Al Habtoor Polo Resort & Club because it has everything that you need and want in a brunch. A few days later and I’m still thinking how surreal the experience was and how I’m so grateful that I have tried it. The packages start at AED325 with soft beverages and I’m telling you, it’s so worth it if you desire the finest experience and the classic sophistication that only St. Regis can provide.
